This EZ-HITCH is for CAT.1 tractors.  The opening in the bottom housing is 2 5/8"tall by 1 5/8" wide.  The majority of CAT.1 tractors have a 2 1/2" lift arm and a bearing that is 1 1/2" wide.

Installation:

Place the 2” rings against the side of the lift arms around the bearing with the 7/8” hole. Then slide the bottom of the EZ-HITCHS over the lift arms and the rings. If the EZ-HITCH won’t slide over the ring and the arm the rings can be ground down smaller so the EZ-HITCH will fit over both the ring and the lift arm.

Note: The rings are not needed with all tractors, they are simply provided as an accessory to help keep the EZ-HITCH from falling over to the side.

Now place the 7/8” pins thru the EZ-HITCH & the lift arms and install the cotter pins. Installation is complete.

Hook UP:

Before hooking up your implement make sure that the lift arms are level with one another.

Adjust your outside stabilizer arms so the EZ-HITCH is the proper distance apart to line up with the pins on the implement. If you have a spreader bar you will have to adjust it now also. Spreader bars are available for $30.00. If you don’t have the spreader bar then attach a short bungy cord from one lift arm to the other. This will help to keep your lift arms from spreading apart when hooking up, however the spreader bar is best, as it will also keep the Hitches in the proper position.

Do not remove the lynch pins from the draw pins on the implement. They will keep the hitch from sliding off the end of the pin when you raise the lift arms.

Back your tractor up to the implement. Position lift arms low enough to allow the EZ-HITCH to pass under the draw pins. Then bump the draw pin with the top of the “J-HOOK”. When both draw pins are positioned against the top of the “J-HOOK” they will also be located directly over the retainer hole in the “J-HOOK”. Now, simply raise the lift arms. The draw pins should settle into the “J-HOOK”. Slide the retainer pin through from the back and secure it with the small lynch pins provided.

To keep the implement from moving in the hitches it is a good idea to adjust the outside stabilizer arms and the spreader bar so that the hitches are located against the lynch pins in the draw pin.

Removal:

Position the implement a few inches off the ground.

Remove the lynch pin from the retainer pin, then remove the retainer pin.

Slowly drop lift arms.

If the lift arms fail to drop from the implement adjusting the top link in and out should allow the lift arms to free themselves and drop. If you tightened the outside stabilizer arms you may need to loosen them also.
